Bye-yo

Sawyer likes to say "Bye-yo" instead of just "Bye." I'm wondering if it's his way of adding c-ya to his bye-bye.

I only have a few cute pictures of him in a cast and that will have to do because his cast is already off. Yay!!! (I think.) The doctor saw him today and after some Doremon (sp?) stickers, Sawyer finally calmed down enough to let the poor man near him. He was clearly traumatized by the last visit as all nurses and doctors freaked him out this time. Anyway, they peeled off the cast (no saw since this one is soft) and they're going to x-ray him again in 3 weeks. He's hesitant to walk and is doing the pain sign when he tries, so I'm wondering if this is normal. The doctor told us to give him a full 4 to 5 days before expecting him to walk. So far he's crawling and is doing okay.

What is up with the old crusty white men walking around Bangkok in swimming trunks and completely mismatched button down shirts? Seriously! I'm seeing more and more of them.

Despite the same old pics I put on our blog, we've been getting out. We have been trying out a new park, looking for good play areas (ball pits) in the malls, and of course, going to the aquarium. Pat and I most recently had margaritas at Charlie Brown's and then went to the night bazaar to pick up stuff for other people. Oh, and we went to the Thai craft fair.

Last night I woke up from a horrible dream: Dad called me up from the hospital to tell me my brother's hand had been completely cut off. Andy was okay but he was missing a hand. I'm assuming it happened with a saw or maybe a spoon. Eww. Dad sounded really upset on the phone and then in a kind of happy voice he said, "But no one's lame." Weird. I hope all our family is safe and sound wherever they are. I'd thought maybe that was one of those dreams where I should call everyone up to check on them just in case, but I was too tired. I should have called though because it took 2 hours to fall back to sleep.

Sawyer can wai people (put hands together like you're praying and bow if you want to). He bows to Thais more than other people, which impresses me. He's trying to say, "Thank you" in Thai since he hears me saying it. Khap kun Kha (sp? again) is thank you if you're a girl. If you're a boy it's khap kun khap. So Sawyer says something like, "Ka ka." That's our little circus trick we like to show off all the time. It's great when he bows. Here's a picture of him doing this:
